Friday night excitement:

â–º Aesop Rock and Rob Sonic bring their “Bestiary Tour” to the El Rey Theatre.
â–º Seventy-two-year-old blues institution Swamp Dogg [pictured], whose latest album “The White Man Made Me Do It” dropped last year, is joined by Texas soul man Bobby Patterson and 91-year-old Vera Lee for a night of old-school music at the Echo.
â–º OURS frontman Jimmy Gnecco continues his residency at the Viper Room, where he is joined by 8mm and the Tulips.
â–º Indie-rockers Great White Buffalo head up tonight’s installment of the free Satellite Night series at the Satellite, which also features GNTLMN, Street Joy and Mercies.
► And a big night at the Hotel Café sees Carly and the Universe and Young Creatures playing late sets Hearty Har, Karmina and Cloudwalkers.
