Video: Clockwise, ‘Dancing World’

Pop provocateur Andy Clockwise, who has dropped the given name is now just going by Clockwise, continues to make music that goes anywhere and everywhere. The title track of his forthcoming EP “Dancing World” posits that you can stay home and read poetry and mope or join all the lovelies at the club and find true happiness, a shallow but popular coda and the kind of thing, back in 2010, Clockwise was lampooning on his album “The Socialite.” (“The peasants should all be banished from the dance floor!” he proclaimed then.) It’s OK, we get it. The two tortured souls in director Myles Lumb’s video find their alternate, albeit temporary, reality. Meanwhile, the EP (due July 15) also includes the Australian’s collaboration with Warpaint’s Stella Mozgawa (who once played in Clockwise’s band) on a cover of the slippery 1990s single “Another Night” by Real McCoy.
