Foster the People, who last week released the first single off their hotly anticipated sophomore album, will play a surprise, free show tonight at the site of their “Supermodel” mural at 643 Los Angeles St. Tickets are available now at MOCA on Grand Avenue; it’s a suggested $5 donation to the museum. Doors will be at 6 p.m.; show is at 8.

Not to jump to conclusions, but this morning some equipment and a handful of fans who said they were there for a “free show” arrived at a downtown parking lot (at 643 Los Angeles St.) where a mural was created to promote FTP’s new album “Supermodel” (out March 18 via Columbia Records). Stay tuned for more details.
Foster the People will play Coachella in April.
