Buffalo-born, Orange County-based singer-songwriter Stacy Clark is back with her third album “Symmetry,” a collection of electro-pop with a real skip in its step. Clark has a knack for writing upbeat summery songs with a mainstream sensibility and a sound perfect for teen-drama soundtracks. Opener and first single “Figured It Out†is catchy with Clark’s sweet voice and solid synth production. New single “Make A Move†features Tom Higgenson (Plain White T’s) and despite lyrics that often lament young romance, Clark still sounds playfully optimistic. “Holiday†is the most lighthearted track, with schoolgirl-esque vocal layers and a horn section. The last few songs on the album are down-tempo giving off a darker vibe sprinkled with acoustic guitars and piano. “Everything’s Changing†is a delicate track featuring Andrew McMahon (Something Corporate/Jack’s Mannequin) on vocal harmonies and final track “Breathe†is a honeyed folk number that closes the album like a relaxed exhale.
