The Reflections, the L.A.-based duo comprised of Darian Zahedi and Jon Safley (who you may recognize as the drummer for Bleached), first beckoned us with their summery dream-pop in “Summer Days.” Since then, the Reflections have established their ability to straddle the line between romantic haze and the roar of anthemic Brit-rock. Their new single “In Another Life” off of their forthcoming debut “Limerance” is another fantastic example as the drums beckon closely behind Zahedi’s vocals in the beginning measures. Before you know it, you’re swimming in their echoing reverb and wrapped in the cooing harmonies that seem to drift away too soon. Thank goodness you can hit play again. The Kenny Woods-produced “Limerance” is slated for a May 7 release.
