If you’ve been wondering where the Reflections – the duo of L.A.’s Darian Zahedi and Jon Safley – have been lately, you weren’t alone. Since the release of 2013’s excellent debut “Limerence,” the Reflections played only a short span of dates (including the Buzz Bands LA-curated Echo Park Rising stage) in support of the full-length. It may have had something to do with Safley’s time on the road as Bleached’s drummer, but no matter now. Zahedi and Safley have released the new single “Out of My Hands,” a swirling guitar tune with its reverb and raspy vocals which could have itself easily filed next to a Stereophonics song or anything great to have come out of the Brit-rock genre in the last decade. “Limerence” is out now via Arc Recordings. Here’s to hoping these two have another roaring full-length in them.
