Morrissey, Bloc Party, Frank Ocean and the Jesus and Mary Chain will play this year’s FYF Fest on Aug. 22-23 at the Sports Arena & Exposition Park in downtown Los Angeles. Tickets for the 12th annual festival — annually billed as “the best weekend of summer” — will be on sale this Friday.

General admission passes are $175 — up from $129 last year — with single-day tickets available for $109 and weekend VIP passes available for $329. Tickets will be on sale at local record stores and available online on Friday.

Deerhunter, Run the Jewels, D’Angelo, Savages, Spiritualized, FKA Twigs, Belle and Sebastian, Purity Ring and Chet Faker are among the other acts playing.

Festival founder Sean Carlson, in making the announcement this morning on KCRW, said that logistics problems that plagued Day 1 last year have been addressed. “We had a massive amount people show up at the same time and it was our first time at the new location,” Carlson explained. “We’ve had the last year to work on logistics. [The biggest change will be] is that people won’t have to walk around the Sports Arena to get to the main stage. That was the biggest complaint last year.”
