If you’re a Snoop Dogg or a 231 fan, you might smile listening to this one. Tuxedo, the duo of soul-singer Mayer Hawthorne and hip hop producer Jake One, released “Number One” to follow up their debut single “Do It.” The two release their self-titled debut on Stone Throw Records today and there isn’t a better single (with a hopeful two-fold meaning) than this new track that stemmed from being fans of Snoop Dogg themselves. “We always wondered what the original sample was for ‘Ain’t No Fun,’” Tuxedo says on the Soundcloud page. “Since we couldn’t figure it out, we decided we would make it.” Snoop, Warren G and the late Nate Dogg would probably dig this, too.
