Kali Uchis’ free show Monday night at the Echo had a little bit everything — a long line that stretched west on Sunset Boulevard across the bridge by 4 p.m. and eventually to the Brite Spot, a cotton candy vendor, flowers and Astroturf onstage and, finally, the cherubic retro-soul on the 20-year-old, Colombia-born, Virginia-reared singer’s first EP, “Por Vida.” As one attendee described it, “mad crazy.” Local funk-soul man Harriet Brown started the evening off in energetic fashion too.
