A super-sized Thursday night of shows:

Cold War Kids play a hometown show at the Regent Theater behind their new album “Hold My Home,” with Avid Dancer supporting.
Future Islands returns to L.A. one more time this year, playing a sold-out show at the Wiltern with Rose Quartz and Speak.
‣ U.K. pop band Bastille holds forth at the Shrine Expo Hall, with Ella Eyre and Grizfolk opening.
‣ Welsh singer-songwriter and Super Furry Animals main man Gruff Rhys performs at the Echo after a screening of his documentary “American Interior” (8 p.m.) at the Echo Park Film Center. Mercury Prize-nominated East India Youth opens.
Sky Ferreira is joined by Cherry Glazerr for a show at the Belasco Theater.
Capital Cities wind up two years of touring behind their debut, 2013’s “A Tidal Wave of Mystery,” by playing the Fonda Theatre, supported by Australia’s Sneaky Sound System and locals Night Terrors of 1927.
‣ Irish singer-songwriter James Vincent McMorrow, enjoying more acclaim for his sophomore album “Post Tropical” (which came out in January), performs at the Theatre at Ace Hotel, supported by Moors.
‣ French-Cuban twins Ibeyi [see “Mama Says”] make their West Coast debut with an early set at the Hotel Café. Later in the evening, it’s Rhett Miller.
