Aloe Blacc, Maya Jupiter, Quetzal and Taylor McFerrin highlight the lineup for the 16th Annual Eagle Rock Music Festival on Saturday, Oct. 4, along Colorado Boulevard in the northeast L.A. neighborhood.
The festival, which shrank a bit last year because of underfunding, is back in a big way in 2014. A $10 donation is suggested; a $20 VIP option gives you special access, a download of an ERMF mixtape, a T-shirt and tickets to an upcoming show at the Center for the Arts Eagle Rock. Go here to donate.
It’s not the first time Blacc and Jupiter, who are husband and wife, have appeared on the same festival bill. They rocked the Silver Lake Jubilee in 2012 [top photo].
The rest of the lineup for the all-ages ERMF (which runs from 4 to 10 p.m.) looks tasty as well: It includes J. Rocc, Exile, SoSuperSam, Myron & E, Nedelle Torrisi, White Magic, Ethio Cali, Anna Oxygen, Angels of Aumsphere, Subsuelo, Cat 500, Triple Chicken Foot, Buyepongo, Palenke Soultribe, Viento Callejero, Wicklow Atwater and the Fallen Flame, Ivory DeVille, Gypsies & Judges, Campus Security and more.
And, of course, there will be the annual eclectic sounds from the Dublab DJs stage.

The lineup is more solid than last year, I hope to see some new bands. Another lineup that has been released is the Abbot Kinney Festival in late September, that has several stages off bands and DJs, all for free.
