“I’m in Love” is the first new music in three years from Fool’s Gold, and if you’re in love with everything that makes the Los Angeles quintet one of the most distinctive bands on the bandscape, you’ll fall for this. With singer Luke Top dispensing his finest croon, Fool’s Gold’s rhythm section of Salvador Placencia and Garrett Ray evoke a party in some exotic locale. The band’s Afro-pop-flavored dance music has been a calling card since the band’s 2009 debut, and after 2011’s “Leave No Trace,” the band toured rigorously before setting in to make a follow-up. Their third album will be titled “Flying Lessons,” but there’s no release date yet. For now, “I’m in Love” has hit iTunes (and there’s a Poolside remix). This’ll make you feel frisky.
