‣ How about that Spoon album, right? “They Want My Soul” came out this week, and Britt Daniel and crew perform tonight on the Fairbanks Lawn at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Speaking of souls.
‣ Gardens & Villa and White Hinterland team up for a free night of music the Figat7th Downtown Festival. Above, the video for Gardens & Villa’s “Domino,” off their sophomore album “Dunes” that came out earlier this year.
‣ The Kooks play two shows at the Roxy Theatre previewing their forthcoming album “Listen,” their fourth full-length, which comes out Sept. 2.
‣ Should be a good one at the Echo – L.A. quartet Dot Hacker headlines behind their new album “How’s Your Process? (Work),” with Two Sheds and Crook on Tape supporting.
‣ Ceci Bastida and Raquel Sofia join up for a show as part of the free summer concert series at Levitt Pavilion Pasadena.
‣ It’s Night 2 of Eminem and Rihanna at the Rose Bowl.
‣ And it’s also the second night Haim at the Wiltern.
