It wasn’t a night to rock out at the beach for Thursday’s edition of the Twilight Concert Series at the Santa Monica Pier. No, this was an evening given to voices, and it made for a chill vibe. Malaysian singer-songwriter Yuna, whose career has taken off in L.A., especially since the release of her album “Nocturnal,” headlined. And the L.A. trio KING opened with a set of their sweet soul. Indie-rock takes over when the series continues next week, with Cayucas and PAPA performing.
