“All I Really Want,” the first single from the forthcoming full-length by the Bots, sounds like the work of some garage-rock legends – taut and dangerous and crackling with moxie earned from years of taking their licks. And, well, in a way, the Glendale-bred brother duo of Anaiah and Mikaiah Lei have already built a legend. Having started when they were 15 and 12 years old, respectively, the Bots have self-released three albums, piled up thousands of miles on the road and stoked anticipation for their future at festivals like Coachella. And “Pink Palms,” due Oct. 14 via FADER, should fan the flames even more. It’s the first time the Lei brothers have worked with a producer – Justin Warfield (She Wants Revenge) helmed the album, with Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Nick Zinner adding additional production and Michael Patterson (Nine Inch Nails, BRMC,  the Notorious B.I.G.) mixing. Y’know, most days all I really want is 2 1/2 minutes of rock ’n’ roll that sounds like it didn’t come from a food processor. Here I have it.
