‣ Young & Sick, the electro-R&B project of visual artist Nick Van Hofwegen (who’s done album covers for Foster the People and Maroon 5), headlines the Echo, with Bent Denim supporting. Above, Young & Sick’s video for “Heartache Fetish.”
‣ It’s the first of three nights of music and fireworks at the Hollywood Bowl, with Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers and Edie Brickell entertaining.
‣ U.K. quartet Glass Animals do the first of two nights at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery behind their album “ZABA,” just out on Harvest Records.
‣ Owenstone celebrates its EP release with a show at the Bootleg featuring the Burning of Rome, Raw Fabrics and the Mo-Odds.
‣ It’s Bob Weir & Ratdog along with the Chris Robinson Brotherhood at the Greek Theatre.
‣ A benefit show for Adopt the Arts at the Mint celebrates the music of Crosby Stills Nash & Young, as performed by Matt Sorum, Sanguindrake, Dan Carlson, Gonzales, the Disreputable Few, Paul Ill, Randy Ray Mitchell, Dan Potruch and more.
