A mariachi band at the beginning and confetti at the end – Lord Huron knew how to close out a tour right. The L.A.-based quartet, the vision of Ben Schneider, brought its Western-flavored jams to the Fonda Theatre for two shows over the weekend that turned out to be epic performances. For those who saw Lord Huron back in the day – whether at club gigs, museum shows or during the daytime at Coachella – it was hard to imagine the songs from their 2012 album “Lonesome Dreams” sound quite this big. Superhumanoids were up to the task of filling the bit room too, opening with a set of their densely layered electro-pop.
