Black Lips to play Burgerama 3

The Black Lips, with the new album “Underneath the Rainbow” on the way March 18 via Vice Records, will play the first day of Burgerama 3 – Burger Records’ annual conflagration of punk-, garage- and psych-rock bands. The full lineup for the festival, scheduled March 22-23 at the Observatory in Orange County and pricier this year at $30 per day, will be announced Tuesday, although via Twitter, Burger says it will be posted at tonight’s free Mystic Braves show at the Observatory. Burgerama tickets go on sale Friday. “Underneath the Rainbow,” the Black Lips’ first full-length in three years, features production work by the Black Keys’ Patrick Carney and the Dap Kings’ Tommy Brenneck.
