Is it too early to think about April in the desert? Never. Desert Daze, the one-day, Coachella-close festival that relocated to an oasis last year, has announced that Liars and Autolux will headline this year’s edition, scheduled for April 26 at Sunset Ranch Oasis near Mecca, 25 miles southeast of Indio.

Early-bird tickets are $30 (GA), $50 (with camping) and $60 (with lakeside camping).

Deap Vally, Terakraft, Disappears, JJUUJJUU, Froth, Mr. Eleveator and the Brain Hotel and Corners are among the early bands announced for the shows. More bands will be announced in January, according to promoters Moon Block Party. Desert Daze launched as an affordable, scaled-down alternative to Coachella in 2012, when it staged more than a week of shows in Desert Hot Springs. This year it is not booked up against Coachella (April 12-14 and 19-21), but up against Day 2 of the Stagecoach festival.
