It’s been a heck of a year for El Ten Eleven. The L.A. instrumental rock duo of Kristian Dunn and Tim Fogarty bounced back after the theft of their gear last spring to tour the world the world behind behind their late-2012 album “Transitions” and its remix version, continuing to marvel crowds with their you-gotta-see-it-to-believe it assault of guitar, bass, drums and electronics. For the unitiated, Dunn wields a guitar/bass doubleneck run through an assortment of noise and looping pedals while drummer Fogarty mixes it up with acoustic and electronic rhythms. Over five full-length albums, El Ten Eleven’s music has proven lyrical without words – or, maybe, beyond words. This week they announced that a new EP, “For Emily,” would be out in February on their own Fake Record Label; it’s another chapter in the slow-growing legend of a duo that continues to amaze.
