Blustery weather and transportation woes cause by the BART strike made Saturday’s first day of the Treasure Island Music Festival an adventure, but except for some complaints about the weather, top-of-the-bill acts such as Atoms for Peace, Major Lazer and Little Dragon carried on undaunted. Major Lazer sprang a big stage show on the enthusiastic crowd, complete with dancers, whistles they distributed to the crowd and the big ball that the Flaming Lips recently retired.
