Buzz Bands LA celebrated five years in the blogosphere on Friday night at the Satellite, and there could have hardly been a better soundtrack – Army Navy revved up their guitars as under-the-weather Justin Kennedy battled a balky voice and won; young quartet Dream Boys meted out their textured, retro-flavored tunes; Charlie Clark brought a five-piece band and a load of Scottish charm to perform his serenely beautiful songs; and Beat Club capped the evening with dance-party-inspiring disco punk. And DJ Marion Hodges set the tone with her selections all night. Buzz Bands LA would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all the musical contributors, the staff at the Satellite and to everyone who came. Cheers.
