Stream: White Sea, ‘They Don’t Know’

The last time we heard from Morgan Kibby (when she wasn’t off singing and playing keys with Anthony Gonzalez) was back when she released the gorgeous “This Frontier” EP in 2011. Nuggets like the ethereal anthem “Mountaineer’ and dark R&B-laden jam “Ladykiller” showed Kibby’s strengths as a solo artist under the moniker White Sea, which recently landed her a signing with Mom + Pop. It may have taken Kibby a good two years to release new solo material, but the first single, “They Don’t Know,” off her forthcoming debut full-length “Cold Blood” is another soaring track where Kibby isn’t shy about her versatile vocals. Heavy with harmonies, percussion and synths, the track provides M83 fans a lot of crossover material to enjoy. “Cold Blood” is slated for a release next year.
