A lot of things have changed since the release of the Blow‘s beloved album “Paper Television.” Khaela Maricich’s collaborator Jona Bechtolt went on to concentrate on beats for his own project many know as YACHT, and Melissa Dyne joined the band with her installation, sound and conceptual art. Also, instead of K Records, The Blow’s long-awaited new and self-titled album is slated for a release on Kanine Records. But Maricich seems to have bounced back with Dyne now by her side. With songs like “Make It Up,” the Blow picks up right where she left off with “Poor Aim: Love Song.” Maricich’s vocals once again somersault on top of sweet and quirky electro-pop beats as she sings about the moon. If you’ve been holding out for more classics like “Parentheses” and “True Affection,” you have one with new singles like “From the Future.” The Blow’s self-titled album is out Oct. 1.
