Broncho

Oklahoma-based punk quartet Broncho has released an album that is shorter than most EPs these days, but that’s what works for them and what may work for many ’70s-inclined fans of punk rock. With 10 songs in a tick over 20 minutes, “Can’t Get Past the Lips” doesn’t have a single song that approaches the three-minute forumla. Short and sweet does it for Ryan Lindsey, Nathan Price, Ben King and Johnathon Ford, and with these simple yet crunchy guitar chords and yelps, it’s all one needs. ADD-rockers will appreciate Broncho and their straight-ahead attack, because who doesn’t want to get to the point? “Can’t Get Past the Lips” is out now via Fairfax Recordings.
