As previously announced, Nika Roza Danilova – aka Zola Jesus – is preparing the release for her forthcoming album “Versions,” an album of 10 Zola Jesus originals reinterpreted by orchestral arrangements by JG Thirlwell (Foetus). And before any of her fans could pout because of the lack of more original songs, Danilova made sure to include brand new track “Fall Back.” Still keeping in tune with the strings on the album, it’s an slow-burner that bursts into an anthemic love song at the 1:46 mark. It’s energetic and even emits a certain warmth despite its BANGS-directed black-and-white shots that illustrate more of a colder landscape. “Versions” is out via Sacred Bones.
