‣ There are BBQs and then there are shindigs like the Summer Send-Off at the Bootleg Theater featuring performance by the Decoders, Mystery Skulls, Harriet, Moses Sumney, Francisco the Man, Froth, the Cerny Brothers, Grizfolk, Robert Raimon Roy, Kera & the Lesbians, Bad Suns, Moonchild, Trevor Menear, Yonas Michael, Channel One, Douglas & the Furs, Wax Children and Sanglorians. ‣ If you’re spending time at the fair this holiday weekend, you’re in luck. The Bangles headline the Los Angeles County Fair where Berlin, Martha Davis and the Motels also play.
‣ It’s a School Night continues with its residency series with performances by Sun Rai, Jaymes Young and We Are Twin at Bardot. Dam-Funk also DJs.
Zak Waters [that’s his video for “Running Around” above], Parade of Lights, Atomic Tom and Baywood all team up at the Satellite.
‣ And Aftergloam headlines the Echo with Wild Pack of Canaries, the Shrills and Washing Machines to round out the bill.
