It wasn’t hard to imagine exactly how the sold-out Palma Violets show at the Echoplex on Tuesday night was going to go down. The U.K. punk-rock quartet, coming straight off a successful weekend at Lollapalooza, chart-topping singles abroad and acclaim for their debut album “180,” gave the expectant audience exactly what they had waited for – a deliriously sweaty, physical performance. “I wanna feel you! I wanna touch you!” bassist Chilli Jesson screamed into the faces of the overwhelming number of young girls clawing at him along the front row. Jesson and guitarist/vocalist Sam Fryer constantly filled the stage with their antics and did everything in their power to ensure the crowd mirrored it all right along with them. The night’s encore spotlighted Warren Kinsella as Jesson took one last surf across his newly created fanatic LA crowd. Chicago boys Twin Peaks prepped the crowd with their own youthful rock unrest.
