Summer weather has arrived in L.A., and shoegazing duo Cobalt Cranes take an appropriate drive in their self-directed music video for “Head in the Clouds.” There’s nothing like a driving into the desert with the top down, but what do you do when you see something glowing in neon colors? If it resembles anything close to a guitar, you pick it up and play it. At least that’s what Tim Foley and Kate Betuel do, and they encounter some supernatural psychedelic barriers as they do so. Cobalt Cranes’ debut full-length, “Head in Clouds,” came out April 9, and offers some tasty, ’90s-leaning shoegazing/psychedelia.
