Jangle-pop maestros Army Navy are at it again, plotting their third album (due later this year) and generally parting any clouds that block your musical blue skies. As singer-guitarist Justin Kennedy and mates have done since their sparkling 2008 debut “Army Navy,” the trio trades in chiming chords and boy-and-door verve, their early work recalling Scottish greats Teenage Fanclub and their second album, the 2011 gem “The Last Place,” infusing that brand of power-pop with even more energy. Kennedy, guitarist Louie Schultz and drummer Douglas Randall have returned to Adam Lasus’ studio for album No. 3, and the new song “Pickle” is kind of the perfect soundtrack to spring fever.
