The Donnies The Amys – the glorious confluence of singer-songwriter Donnie Stemp’s emotive paeans and drummer Amy Wood’s artful rhythms – have decided to capitalize after all. Their name, that is. The pair have already capitalized on their collaboration; their debut album (which you should have by now) is a collection of agile indie-pop that leaves you hankering for Stemp’s next couplet. Director Sylvia Sether’s brilliantly edited clip for “Machines” outstrips the typical performance music video, letting the two players channel the song and its metaphor. (Their recent Daytrotter session was pretty cool too.)
