Orange County’s Young the Giant have come a long way from their days as the Jakes. Being one of the first bands to diversify Roadrunner’s hard-rock label has worked in their favor as they’ve opened up for acts such as Minus the Bear and Futureheads in the past year. The quintet now has no trouble selling out shows on their own headlining tour and they’ve just presented another offering to their loyal fans by releasing an official video for their hit, “My Body” [which premiered on Buzz Bands LA last July]. As the lead single of their self-titled debut, the song about youthful urges gets an “Inception”-like treatment. While the band rocks out in a remote field, the featured actor (who could be Kristian Matsson’s doppelganger) chases a part of himself only to realize he’s already part of the picture.
