I’m severely in arrears in posting about this, but I’d like to thank everybody who turned out for last Saturday’s “A Night With Buzz Bands LA” at Spaceland. In only their second live show, headliner White Sea, the solo project of M83 singer-keyboardist Morgan Kibby, turned in a sparkling set of disco-tinged dreampop – imagine Kate Bush and Bat for Lashes trading hallucinations on a dancefloor in the desert. L.A. quartet Hello Dragon celebrated the release of its new album “Information” with a set of smart, crisp power-pop. Special tip of the cap to the two bands who were late adds to the bill – Wait. Think. Fast., enchanting and almost spectral to start off the night, and Wet & Reckless, loose and fun to end it. Thanks for the support.
