If it’s March, BUZZBANDS.LA must be coming to Texas.

BUZZBANDS.LA, Los Angeles’ leading website for music discovery, will host its fourth annual “Dear Austin, Love L.A.” day party on Wednesday, March 18, showcasing six top emerging artists from Southern California. The event, the seventh hosted or co-hosted by BBLA since 2009, will go off from noon to 6 p.m. at Bar 96 (96 Rainey St., Austin).

This year’s lineup features art-punks Sego, pop quintet Avid Dancer, anthemic rockers Northern American, indie-rockers Dear Boy, gypsy-folk outfit Kera & the Lesbians and “dirty classic rockers” Rainbow Jackson. Set times are listed below.

The party is free and no RSVP is required. BUZZBANDS.LA will be giving away free T-shirts and tote bags while they last.

BUZZBANDS.LA, founded in 2008 by former Los Angeles Times editor/writer Kevin Bronson, is an L.A.-centric blog that passionately covers the the city’s myriad music scenes. Bronson hosts weekly radio shows on listener-supported terrestrial station KCSN-FM and Internet outlet The Independent FM.
