Califone [see Saturday’s post] visits the Bootleg Theater beyind its latest release, September’s “Stitches.” The Luyas open.
Vanaprasta, the L.A. quintet that has been retooling since its 2011 full-length “Healthy Geometry,” kicks off its residency at the Bootleg Bar, supported by James Supercave, Seven Saturdays and Immigré. Buzz Bands LA co-presents and will be selecting between sets.
‣ Electro-pop quartet DWNTWN soars into its Satellite residency with Deluka, Scouts and Yell for Help on board for opening night.
‣ At the Echo, Criminal Hygiene blasts off for its month of Mondays, and opening night features a stellar lineup of LA Font, GRMLN and the Mystery Lights.
‣ Hard-hitting It’s Casual [Eddie Solis, pictured] headlines the Troubadour behind its latest album, November’s “The New Los Angeles II.” BONGOLOIDZ, Tennis Pro and Drag News support.

‣ And Scott & Rivers (the side-project collaboration between Scott Murphy of Allister and Rivers Cuomo of Weezer) do an early set at Trip in Santa Monica.
