If you’re a straight-up psych-rock fan who shuns frills, then L.A.’s Heavy Glow may be right up your alley. Following up their debut “Midnight Moan,” Jared Mullins, Joe Brooks and Michael Amster continue to infuse blues-heavy guitar riffs into songs that are heavy on the swagger and grit, like their 7-inch B-side “Headhunter.” The untitled sophomore slated for release on Purge Records later this year will please fans who stay true to the classic rock scene as their shredding is only part of the heavy drive they possess. Heavy Glow’s limited edition vinyl is available March 12 through their Bandcamp page.
