Video: Priscilla Ahn, ‘Leave It Open’

It seems a lot of singer-songwriters have been drinking the Kool-Aid lately when it comes to electro-pop. Similarly to Madi Diaz‘s sonic shift from a folk foundation to a more dance-friendly sound palette, highly regarded songbird Priscilla Ahn is experimenting with some dream-pop elements. After briefly teaming up with Charlie Wadhams last year for Sweet Hearts, Ahn finally returns with new solo material by the way of her sleek, synth-coated single “Leave It Open.” The track, which still features those immaculately crafted vocals, is off her forthcoming album “This Is Who We Are.” Produced by Keefus Ciancia (Kimbra, T Bone Burnett), the record is slated for a release Feb. 25 via SQE Music. “Leave It Open” is out now via Dave Sitek’s Federal Prism label. Here’s to new beginnings.
