What’s up for your fabulous Friday:

‣ It’s a two-for-one night at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery – electro pioneer Thomas Dolby will perform music and narration live during his film “The Invisible Lighthouse,” with live effects by Blake Leyh, followed by music-in-film-and-TV panel discussion with featuring David Porter (“Breaking Bad”) and Michael Giacchino (“Lost,” “Alias” and Star Trek”). There are two performances.
‣ L.A. indie-pop trio Sir Sly, which released its “Gold” EP earlier in the year and has a full-length in the works, does a headlining date at the Echoplex, supported by Jaymes Young and Dead Times. That’s Sir Sly’s video for the single “Gold,” above.
The Black Crowes do the first two nights at the Wiltern.
‣ It’s another mini-massive at the Shrine Expo Hall, where Swedish dance-music phenom Alesso and L.A. DJ/producer Clockwork hold forth.
The Handsome Family takes a break from its tour with Andrew Bird to do a headlining date at the Bootleg Theater, with John C. Reilly and Friends supporting.
Cayucas returns for a hometown date at the Troubadour, with Wardell and Hindu Pirates opening.
‣ And Ezra Furman winds up a long tour behind his second solo album “Day of the Dog” with a show at the Satellite, with Tristen and Victory supporting.
