Despite their temporarily-inclined name, L.A.-based quartet the Visitors may not just be coming and going. The band, whose members are comprised of Jason Forman, Joe ZIzzo, Jeremy Arambulo and Cameron Kem, have an EP with songs that not only entertain but stick with you long after a listen. Theatrically rollicking, the Vistors’ songs such as “Fever” bounce with zealous percussion and funky synth lines while “Only Time” is a haunting ballad with heavy mood swings (it’s just shy of five minutes). There’s a bit of math rock reminiscent of Foals but also some gothic post-punk elements that will entice fans of Nick Cave. The Visitor’s self-titled EP is slated for a Dec. 1 release.
