Garage-rockers Audacity has been busy releasing a number of singles in anticipation of their forthcoming album “Butter Knife,” and their latest tune actually leans a bit more toward pop-punk as the persistent percussion and vocals both take the spotlight. “Couldn’t Hold a Candle,” however, still caters to their strengths in spirited songwriting, and if anyone’s forgotten the quartet is from O.C., the surf-rock vibe creeps in to remind. “Butter Knife” is slated for an Oct. 29 release on Suicide Squeeze.
