PAPA-13

The big news here is not that PAPA has teased the universe with another roaring rock song, but that the L.A. band – built around the collaboration between drummer Darren Weiss and bassist Daniel Presant – have set a date to release their full-length album. “Tender Madness” will be out Oct. 8 via Loma Vista. The album is the follow-up to PAPA’s 2011 EP “A Good Woman Is Hard to Find” and last year’s “Put Me to Work” single, releases that stamped the band and its singing drummer as aspirants to the bold, outsized rock ’n’ soul of stadium bands who inspire fist-pumping euphoria one minute and poignant reflection the next. Nothing they’ve done so far has diminished that vision.
