Video: The Picture and the Frame, ‘Okay’

Ready for a cool dip in the pool? The Picture and the Frame has you covered in their new video for the single “Okay” [which we fell for back in December]. On their new album “Reverb and Gin” (why is it we love that title?), the L.A. trio of singer-bassist Rose Shawhan, guitarist Rickett Baker and drummer Mark Howell sip the tonic of loves lost, found and simply obsessed over, with Shawhan’s a-little-bit-Natalie Merchant vocals steering their bluesy Americana toward a generally optimistic place. “Reverb and Gin” was recorded with Raymond Richards (Local Natives, among many others) and whether Shawhan is lamenting “This Too Shall Pass” or declaring “Can’t kill my love buzz” in the retro-sounding jaunt “Love Buzz,” the Picture and the Frame have done a nifty job of outlining affairs of the heart.
