Video: Inc., ‘Black Wings’

As an exercise in surgical studio precision, the debut album from L.A. duo Inc. “No World” is masterful. But the first full-length from brothers and accomplished session guys Andrew and Daniel Aged aspires to little more than that. Last year’s release by Frank Ocean and this year’s rousing debut from Rhye show that R&B and high-tech production can enjoy a happy marriage; on “No World” (out in February) it comes off as sterile, preening and immediately forgettable. Please, 4AD.

Totally agree. 4ad is putting out trendy, plastic, urban outfitters ready lifestyle music lately and it cheapens the labels rich history. This and indians too..If its too hip for the Intelligentsia playlist, then you know they’ve missed the mark.
