Day job getting you down? Vent a little with Katherine Pawlak and her bandmates in Sad Robot. In vituperative fashion, “God Damn the Man” unloads on suffocating jobs, insensitive bosses and every other dance we have to do to earn a buck. Stephen Steelman’s video, which features Kristen Renton (Ima on “Sons of Anarchy”), evokes the rebellion of the 1980 film “9 to 5,” right down to its choreography. Pawlak and bandmates Nicolas Perez and Jake Hogenson take it from there, with a bluesy roar reminiscent of fellow Angelenos Nico Vega. The song is from the trio’s late-2012 release “1.0.”
