Cue our Monday mantra – so many residencies, so little time:

‣ L.A. trio Gliss starts a four-week run at Los Globos behind their new album “Langsom Dans” Xu Xu Fang, Lonely Trees and the Pyyramids open, and there will be a familiar face spinning music beetween sets – KROQ’s Rodney Bingenheimer.
‣ There’s a double dose of free music in Echo Park – orchestral rockers Kan Wakan have the residency at the Echo – the Donnies the Amys and Omar Velasco join in on opening night – and it’s only a quick trip downstairs to see the first night of A House for Lions‘ stint at the Echoplex, where Olin & the Moon, the Steelwells and Cassorla support.
‣ Mystery Skulls are doing the free nights at the Bootleg Bar; support sets tonight come courtesy of Matthewdavid and Tapioca & the Flea.
‣ Their deal with Island Records in place and their “Love’s Not Dead” EP out last fall, the Mowgli’s hold forth at the Satellite, with the Ross Sea Party, Of Verona and In the Valley Below supporting. That’s the Mowgli’s video for their big single “San Francisco,” above, which we introduced last March.
‣ And Wires in the Walls have a new EP, “Leap, Timber, Leap” – the follow-up to their 2011 album “New Symmetry” – and the residency at the Silverlake Lounge. Opening night features Burning Jet Black, Future Dancing and Young Creatures.
