Music in the key of February:

‣ Sonic explorer the Gaslamp Killer , along with Adventure Time (the collaboration between Daedelus and Mark “Frosty” McNeil of Dublab), is the big attraction at the February installment First Fridays at the Natural History Museum. “Seven Years of Bad Luck for Fun” (featuring Dimite), above, will mess with your brain.
Tegan & Sara’s sseventh album “Heartthrob” came out last week, as the sisters play Club Nokia with a supporting set from up-and-comers Night Terrors of 1927.
‣ Malian singer-guitarist Vieux Farka Touré visits UCLA’s Royce Hall. L.A.’s Fool’s Gold, who have been working on a new album, take time out from the studio to open.
The Happy Hollows are sure to play a bunch of material from their forthcoming second album at the Satellite. Their headlining set is supported by So Many Wizards, Nightmare Air and American Males.
‣ And Geographer plays the Echo, supported by On An On.
