Stream: Dorothy, ‘The Wicked Ones’

Looking for some muscle in your rock ’n’ roll? The last volley from L.A. quartet Dorothy is like pumping iron. The new L.A. quartet featuring Dorothy Martin and her merry band of shredders –guitarist Mark Jackson, bassist Greg Cash and drummer Zac Morris – made a lot of friends fast with their first two singles, “After Midnight” and “Wild Fire,” making bad-to-the-bone and back-to-basics blues-rock seem almost like a moral imperative. “The Wicked Ones” takes the same tack; it’s a good ol’ stomper that seems to have come from some Baby Boomer’s scratchy vinyl collection. Old school rules? Sounds like it here.
