KCSN2014NEW-500The calendar tells me we are now three-quarters of the way through 2014, and, well, time flies when you’ve got mailboxes full of new music. Tonight’s L.A. Buzz Bands Show on KCSN (88.5 FM, streaming at KCSN.org) features some notable new arrivals, including songs from Soft Swells, Dream Boys, Arrica Rose and the …’s, PARIS, Conway, Night Terrors of 1927, Gary Calamar and Street Joy. This week’s “Flashback Track” revisits an album that was released 10 years ago to the day, still brilliant as it was in 2004. So tune in at 9 p.m. for an hour of SoCal music; it won’t hurt a bit. Below, tonight’s playlist, subject to last-minute tweaking:

Sneakout, “The Art of Hanging On”
Dream Boys, “Positive Arguments”
White Arrows, “We Can’t Ever Die”
Soft Swells, “Go!”
Avid Dancer, “I Want to See You Dance”
Conway, “Shut Up”
PARIS, “My Flesh”
Wildcat! Wildcat!, “Hero”
Meiko, “Be Mine”
** Earlimart, “Heaven Adores You”

Francisco the Man, “Big Ideas”
