After releasing their debut “CRMNL HYGNE” in 2013, the boisterous L.A. trio Criminal Hygiene have been splitting their time between playful shenanigans and working hard on a new EP. Despite losing original bassist James Watson since, Michael Fiore and Sean Erickson have chugged along and grabbed new member Michael Hiller on the way. Yielding new material together, Criminal Hygiene returns with “Withdrawn,” the title track from the band’s forthcoming 7-inch. There’s perhaps some Replacements in their irascible garage rock, and the threesome has inched forward production-wise, maybe even sound grown up a little too. “Withdrawn” is out now via Cutlist.
