The sixth annual L.A. edition offered solid headlining performances and a few surprises among all the international artists on the undercard.

The sixth Culture Collide festival arrives in L.A. beginning Thursday, and here is music from 40 of the bands performing at it. Stream, stream away.
Including: Ariel Pink, the Black Lips, Rudimental, Charlie XCX, Beirut, Julia Holter, Ben Howard, Paul Weller, Telekinesis, Garbage, Culture Collide, the Fratellis, the Bangles, Festival Supreme, Don Henley, Battles, JR JR, My Morning Jacket.
The annual gathering of bands from around the world runs Thursday through Saturday at various venues throughout Echo Park.
Other notable additions to the festival Oct. 8-10 include Caught a Ghost, Maudlin Strangers, Enola Fall and Crooked Colours. And there will be a record fair in the Taix parking lot on Saturday.
